Interior Design question...for bars, clubs, restaurant, etc, etc.....please help

Hi,

My best friend is busy starting up his business and asked me for some advice.
Since I can't help him out myself I thought let's ask GFY I'm sure there's some
people who can point him in the right direction....

Ok here's the thing:

He owns this place that will be used as a location which can be rented for
things like.....converence room, party center for weddings and other kind
of events....he'll also do catering, etc, etc....

he's looking for some software which he can use to easily draw floor plans
and try ideas on interior decoration...like colors, space layout etc, etc...
It has to be something not too complicated...so no CAD type of stuff

He only needs it to try out some ideas himself as he'll hire a professional
interior designer for the actual job.....but he just want to fiddle around
with some ideas himself to figure out what he wants and what to ask the
interior designer and what he has in his mind.......

So if anyone knows some simple interior design type software he can use
that's not to complicated to use he'd be very grateful. Even if it's just
something that let's him easily draw the room plan / blue print of his
building would already be of great help....as he sucks at drawing himself :1orglaugh

I know about Visio but I think that's more for technical kind of drawings....
or perhaps Visio has a home/interior desing module as well.....

Thanks! :thumbsup

By the way, the term you are looking for is "reception hall". :-)

I used this program's free trial version when we needed to create & submit blueprints for our restaurant in Venice Beach to the local council.

Its simple as hell to use - you dont need to know anything about using CAD.

For interior fix and flips I'm doing i use Color Style Studio : http://www.housepaintcolorschemes.com/

Hope it helps

DOn't have a clue, maybe if you wanted to design a club or a bar I could send you our man - he is incredibly talented.

He's playing Glenn Tipton in a revival btw.
