I am watching my first few episodes but it must be half way through the series....

Whats the story?

I take it he solves serial murders but is a seriel killer himself?

He's a serial killer who kills other serial killers and assorted murderers. He lives by a "code" taught to him by his adopted father that helps him seem normal, how not to get caught, and how to properly take out his agression.

I agree 100% with airek. The only character I don't like on that show is Doakes, but thats only because the guy who plays him is a shitty actor imo.

ya i just started yesterday its archived on my digital cable, watched all 12 eps of last season, and first 3 of this. still gonna finish up the rest tonight/tomorow

Netflix Season 1. I just finished watching it, was pretty good. Also, it season 1 gives a lot of information about his past, etc...

Yes Dexter is a serial killer, but he only kills bad people. He saw his mother get murdered when he was a little kid and it fucked him up. His foster father taught him how to control his urges and to kill only people that were bad. It is a great show.

Watch from the start - best show on tv by far.

You gotta watch them in order, season 1, first show.

Wow, an amazing show. The production values are big budget movie-like.

So yeah, everything they ^^^^ just said, and the story gets incredibly interesting. It just sucks you in and doesn't let go. After the first season I thought it was over, but man, the second kicks off with a fuckin HAMMER!
