I stopped watching CNN a few years ago in favor of MSNBC. I honestly couldn't remember why until last night.

I tune in to watch the last half of the republican debate and the post debate analysis...and during the analysis they're talking about Mike Huckabee.
One of the "analysts" says that Huckabee has some lunatic ideas, like getting rid of the IRS, the "analyst" says "I know everyone hates the IRS, but c'mon, the government has to get it's money from somewhere"

Then they switched to another "analyst", this one a female, who agreed with the first analyst about Huckabee's position and then went on to something else.

Now what I want to know is, how do you get a job as a "political analyst" at a major news network when you don't know anything about politics?
How could a paid professional political analyst not know that the republican leading in the polls in Iowa is for a national sales tax?
This "analyst" seems to think that Huckabee wants to get rid of taxes altogether I guess?

Not only that, but there were 6 people on the panel, most of them republicans, and not a single one of them had anything to say about that remark.

What a fucking joke, thank god for MSNBC.

FWIW, I'm not a republican or a Huckabee supporter, I just follow politics the way rotisserie geeks follow baseball.

I find it mind boggling that people who get paid to write about politics in national publications and comment about politics on national TV are so ignorant about things like this.

Thats not true at all, they may suck but regardless what rush says its not the clinton news network. They got Glenn Beck,Wolf Biltzer, Lou Dobbs these arent liberals.Also they personally derailed Howard Deans campaign playing him rallying his team screaming over and over and over.

The national sales tax is not the answer the wall street journal not exactly a liberal paper says people will wind up paying more in taxes.

We just need to cut spending Trillions on invading countries and we could get rid of the IRS replace it with nothing and still have more than enough money for Social Security and other programs that people need to live.

There's a difference between the head of CNN thinking that they played the Dean clip too much, and you saying they "single-handedly brought down Howard Dean's campaign by playing the clip over and over"

Also...saying that they hurt Dean so they're not liberal doesn't make sense. It was the Democratic primary, some would argue that all of his opponents were liberal also.

Had Dean been the nominee and then they did that during the general election, you'd have strong evidence that they're not biased.
