Buying traffic for a blog?
 

Just wondering if buying traffic will help get a new blog off the ground. Has anyone tried it? What is the best way to get some traffic flowing to a new blog?

A little of both I guess. I was just curious since a lot of people seem to recommend it for TGPs and such.

TGP's are not blogs . . . although some blogs are like TGP's.

For blogs, slow and steady wins the race. The idea is not to throw a shit load of cheap traffic at it, but to allow it to build quality search engine and bookmarker traffic.

Buying traffic for a blog is pretty much a waste of time and money. You want link trade. 1 person clicking a link to your site is better than 1000 blind links to your site.

With bought traffic most people will close your site before they even really look at it. But when people click a link to your site they want to see what is there.
