Its the bloody fireworks - every night they find a new excuse for them..... The louder the better.

It drives me nuts. These things shake buildings.

I lived in London at the hight of the IRA campains - Im a nervous wreck!

For some reason the people here that shoot off fireworks all the time are the americans

Hi Damien, so you have noticed, the Tenerifians take their fireworks VERY seriously and some of the displays put others in much larger cities like London to shame!

They sure know how to party here - I will appreciate it more when I have my finances sorted and sleep patterns in sync with everyone else.

In the UK we go out early and get in early - Here, because of the siesta most people are not out till 11pm.

The tapas is great - who knew octopus tastes so damn good.

They have these great baby jacket potatoes here as well - they dry cook them in salt and serve them with 2 types of Mojo sauce - one is almost pure garlic the other chili. They are a real Canarian delicacy and they are fantastic.
