You've changed the trial price from $2.95 to $1.00 on the default linkcodes (or am I wrong?)

This kinda fucks up every single "Join here for $2.95" link we have on every single page we have.. and that's MANY..

Maybe I'm off here.. because what I'm saying is that you're not allowed to change your pricing unless you keep the old one :) Anyways, still annoying as hell

The good news is, it's a pleasant surprise for the surfer, even if it does make your site look like you have no idea what you're selling.

I've lurked on and off since I signed up, but I gotta make myself public now, for various reasons. Hopefully you'll be seeing more of me. Whether that is a good or bad thing I will leave to you. :1orglaugh

I hate it when sponsors do that too but of all cases, they lowered the price which I can't imagine would hurt conversions. If anything, it'll be a welcomed surprise that its $1.95 cheaper for the trial.

Still tho, if a sponsor is going to change link codes I think its better they leave the old ones in tact. A lot of people simply have too many pages to change like gallery submitters. It would be almost impossible to change all pages without getting banned and not to mention the amount of time it would take in doing so.

But what about a surfer not clicking on your text link which says $2.95 .. He might have clicked if the price was $1.00

A few years ago a pretty big sponsor changed all his linking codes from Trial to full monthly memberships, and then threatened me over ICQ that they'd cancel my affiliate account including all rebills if I wouldn't update the text on all my textlinks (1000s).

They were one of my main sponsors till that day, and I never built anything for them again. :)

YIKES. Better to leave the old codes intact than lose a solid affiliate. I don't know how many surfers who actually paid the $2.95 would bother to bitch if they later saw a $1 offer, but I can't imagine many would take the time to complain.

Don't really bother me when the price gets lowered, but I remember when Mayors Money came out with $1 trials, so I added shitloads links to hundreds of sites saying join for $1 then very short while later fucking trials were gone, so had to spend several days editing pages to remove links & will never send them any volume traffic ever again
