It's great. It's my favorite next generation console. I have been playing Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and Super Mario Galaxy on it. They are really fun and exciting. Plus, you can download classic games onto your system. I've played the games on the 360 and PS3. The graphics look great and all. But, the gameplay is boring. I rather have the Wii anyday.

I had an xbox 360, which i paid over $600 for, it lasted just over the 12 months covered it for warranty and died. it was too much too buy another xbox so i decided to buy a $250 wii a couple weeks after they came out, which i've ended up enjoying far more in the end and will probably live twice as long, if not more. i bought trauma center: second opinion a week or so ago and have been playing it steady since. the game is awesome. the console is just fun, hand sdown. it's different than the ps3/xbox360, and that IS NICE. games are getting boring and stale, but nintendo switche dit up, and i think they went the better route. badass graphics aren't always for the best.

I hope you didn't trash your 360. MS extended the warranty to 3 years. You can send it in and get it fixed.

nope, its sitting in a box. i'll have to look into that 3 year warranty now. i've just been waiting to get around to opening it up and taking a look at it myself. the ring codes told me it was just a general hardware failure. which according to my research is usually just melted contacts on the graphics card. and easy enough fix if i get around to it some day. but hey, if they extended the warranty, i'm on it! i do miss playing dead rising ALOT. gonna email microsoft's support center tonight.

Wii is fun, we usually only play it when we have friends over though. Want to rent the new Mario Galaxy soon. Mario/Sonic Olympics was fun, but Paper Mario sucked ass I thought.

my wife and I LOVE ours...we are playing tiger woods pro tour right now in fact

we play at least 2 hours a day usually

all in all, I can honestly say it was one of the best entertainment purchases we have made in years

one thing though, if you are into shoot em up role playing games and all that shit and need insane graphics and blah blah blah, the wii is NOT for you...don't get me wrong, the graphics are great, but the system is designed for FUN and ACTIVITY

do yourself a favor and go ahead and order dance dance revolution hottest party now (with 2 mats), you might not think you will like it, but OH MY FUCKING GOD IS IT FUN

there are a few really good games and TONS of REALLY shitty ones....good for casual gaming with friends ect. not a gamer system though

Anyone with a Wii who hasn't already played it ABSOLUTELY MUST pick up Trauma Center and give it a try. This game is seriously addictive. I'm gonna go play it now actually. I've got to get this shattered glass out of this motherfuckers spleen or he's gonna die AGAIN. Argh!!!

Wii is a lot of fun. Personally I think you will really start to see some kick ass games coming out now for it that really use the controls to their advantage. FPS games especially.

I modded mine with the cyclowizz modchip.. was pretty easy to do..

i recommend everyone do what we do, rent the games at blockbuster before buying them

Nintendo Wii is a lot of fun. My friend brings his down to my house now and again. My girlfriend has bought me a PS3 for Xmas tho and I can't wait to get it hooked up to my new tv! For proper gaming, PS3 is the best I think.

Wii is more for fun. PS3 is for kicking as on Call of Duty 4! And whipping friends asses at FIFA08!

Overhyped and overrated.

I saw some folks in an nursing home playing it on the news. That's about the level of excitement the games bring. There are a few gems in the way of games, but they are few and far between. 95% of all the games on the system are garbage, considering 90% of all games suck...that's a big difference. :winkwink:

where the heck did you find one for 250$. i've been to various sites and dont see anything under 600$ granted they comewith 5 games but none of the ones i want. not to mention the mall has been sold out for the past month. i want one dammit.

We have a Wii in the office and its alot of fun to play in a group setting. I can't wait to get Guitar Hero for the Wii...but then again my employees would never get any work done, hell--I'd never get any work done! :1orglaugh

I bought both the boys one for Christmas last year, and they are a lot of fun to play. I am sure people that are ultra gamers might not have as much fun on them. But I have a good time playing the games. Gaming had evolved to the point that I about couldn't play with them anymore because the sequence I had to remember on the controllers was too much.

Of course, I am as old as dirt.

The wii is great. It never gets boring.

Both Best buy and WalMart in this area have the wii at 249.00

Godfather: Black Hand Edition is one of the best games for the Wii.
the hand to hand combat aspect of it is cool.

I also love the shit out of Red Steel, even though it's not as perfect as it could have been. here's to hoping there's an improved sequel in the works!

Yup, we have had ours for a good time now...really fun to play with a group.

We just had our 360 come back from repair. It only took about a month from sending it off to coming back. I really thought it would take longer.

Anyway, each console has it's pro's and cons...
Wii doesnt have a very powerful graphics processor witch makes me play games like COD4 on 360 or ps3..

I got a chipped Wii, it was fun about 3 weeks. I don't play much at all now. Maybe 1-2 times/month.

Sometimes use it to watch documentaries on google video when there's crap on TV.

yep! this is all i really care to play on my wii anymore. :) the other games are fun every once in a while but this one keeps me interested more so than the others. :) highly recommended.

you can get them on ebay for 380-420. Just takes some time trying to win one. You can get lucky and get one for 350 if you spend an hour bidding
