:( fucking phishers!
|
I got a different one today, was going to start a warning thread but bumping this one is better. Mine had subject line:
Message From ePassporte Team Showed the epassporte header graphic and had this message: Quote:
[]http://www.dk-adserver.de/libraries/index.php[] (brackets are to prevent board software from autolinking the URL) Be careful out there! |
Thanks
We are on the first on and will be on the next one. |
thanks for the info - i just updated my personal information!
|
this guys must be trying to steal money or what ...
|
I really believed it was Epassporte so I gave all my info.
Therefore Epassporte is liable. |
Mine was scary-plausible because of the Epassporte's terrible habit of randomly turning off accounts and demanding more info. So I was predisposed to believe it -- clever social engineering on the phishers' part, taking advantage of a known propensity of the target company.
However, I've grown used to the Epassporte "new message in your message center" notifications, so fortunately I didn't fall for it. |
