What are you doing for christmas?

I am off on holiday with my family and i cant wait as it will be the first time in years I will be away from my pc for over a week. and I have promised myself not to check my emails during the whole time!

we are going to france to visit my brother and i cant fucking wait!

you going anywhere or staying at home?

Not got anything special planned, but a few days away from the computer will be welcome.

Mind you, i'll probably be playing my new PS3 so i'll only go from one screen to another...

home as well, never travelled during the christmas season we always just stay in visit family and lots of eating and drinking

I'm leaving on a cruise Saturday, then we have a number of parties lined up. Nothing huge, what we do is a bunch of small dinner parties with 5-15 people instead of one really big one.

Then I will spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with the family.

I will be in and out of the office over the holidays. Everyone else is taking time off, so I should be more productive, with few people around.

A chance to actually work on some of the things I ENJOY but just haven't had time to get to this fall.

Clients all take time off, too, so should be a relaxing ride to 2008.

Maybe I will do some chops of donnylong for amusement in the downtime.

Oh, and I suggest anytime you go on vacation to never take a laptop with you. Even when I would just go to conventions for that entire time I would never check email etc. It really works wonders for your psyche.

You'll also soon realize that what you think is important, it's really not that important. The world didn't disappear just because you didn't log on.

And on Holidays I havea 24-48 hour hiatus. Like on Christmas Eve I'll stop working around 4 or 5pm, and I will not go back online until the 25th around 9 a.m.

This will be the first Christmas that my son really gets to enjoy. So we are staying home, and having fun with him.

The boys and I are going to the Bahamas for 10 days. Staying in a rental house on South Andros for 7, then 3 days in Nassau.

I went to Disney last year and never again. I've done Christmas there before and last years was the craziest I've seen.

This year, we're staying home for Christmas day. The weekend before we'll be in Boston.
