My FOREX stats for today.
 

I got in the market laste today. Here's my current status.

Euro vs Dollar
$750,000.00 contract value = $3750.00
in at 1.486573 total loss = $174.75

Pound vs Dollar
$250,000.00 contract value = $1250.00
in at 2.070060 total gain = $392.50

So, I am currently looking at $218.00 gain over last 3 hours.

I expect the Pound and the Euro to peak tomorrow afternoon EST.

I will keep this thread updated.

It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt.

I tried with a Forex trial - managed to lose a fortune.

Thank god it wasnt real money.

Tip - The US$ dosnt go up because the fed drops rates......

I am not a trading guru. All I know is going against the dollar with the Euro and pound seems like easy money these days.

The biggest thing with Forex is to not put in more than you need to cover margin.

I only risk 25-30% of my deposit...

btw.. i just cost averaged down on the Euro big time.. I actually am in a lot more than i wanted to... atm i am gambling.. we'll see how it works out...

I just liquidated all my positions today. $1446.50 profit today. I post my stats so people can see that there is money to be made. If you dont care about that, it's your business...

BTW, I made $1446.50 in about 3 hours tonight. That me be insignificant to you, but not to me...

I enjoy checking these threads... Interesting. I've got to get back into that game when I have some free time to do some research. Used to do it a while back with the dollar and yen.

Dont kid yourself - I doubt there are many here who could maintain $500 an hour.

I need to learn more about the other currencies. right now I am doing well with the Pound and the euro. I know this is going to end at some point. I cant see the dollar continuing to decline, although i do ride the downs as well as the ups...

if you know how to read charts and dont risk more than a percentage of your margin call, you will make money...

sometimes i have to stay in for a few days just to get back to black...

i still have so much to learn, but i cant believe how easy its been to make money...

again, i know it wont last forever, but for now, its gold...

well, i am in that boat too... i wish i could maintain that, but on average i have been doing about $400-600 a day and this month i took about a $4k loss because i went to bed with an open position and forget to set a stop/loss...

although i am pretty agressive trading, i definately minimize my risk and losses...

the only reason i share my experience is to let people know that there are other ways to make money without risking their entire bankroll.. of course i also realise that this dollar/euro thing wont last forever, so why not get while the gettins good...

and of course i dont make a nickel if people try it or not... jjust sharing some info...

is it hard to learn ? It could be a nice little income add on.

I have to admit that the whole Forex thing gets me hard - the speed is incredible.

yes, thats the draw... you can make $100 in 5 minutes with a $1000 position... and you can play 24 hours a day... its like being the house in vegas.. yeah its risky and some consider gambling, but at the end of the day, if you play smart, the odds are way in your favor....

right now, just short the dollar... in normal times forex is very complex, but with the dollar losing value everyday, its not that difficult..

i would reccomend going to forex.com and opening a mioni account for $250-$500 dollars..

If you do that, let me know, i will be more than happy to spend sometime on the phone with you and tell you how to do it...

its reallly easy to start... and btw i dont own forex or have any affiliation with the site.. i just like their platform and find it easy to trade...

give it a try... whats the worst that can happen.. you lose 250-500... and i will assure you that u wont if you dont rick more than 10-20% of your deposit...

On a side note:

Have anyone of you guys read the Top 100 Highest Earned Traders in the world. It's a report that comes out every year from a traders magazine.

I mean this guys make a shitload of money trading hedge fonds for other people.

The guys at the bottom make like $50- $75 million, the top ranked guy this year was John Arnold. He's 33 trading natural gas. He made a cool $1,5 billion for himself..

Now, how do the list of the top 100 highest paid adult webmasters look like? :winkwink:

just remember the hedge fund managers get a percentage of the money in the fund... usually like 10%.. so the bigger the fund the more they get and it doesnt matter whether a hedge fund makes money or not...

on a side note, alot of the hedge fund managers make enough money to be on the fortune list of billionairres and highest net worth individuals but they keep their earnings a secret and therefore are not on the list..

Good info, marketsmart. I've read alot about trading. Nice to see someone in webmaster world doing well with it.

Can I ask what triggers you are using? What trading platform? Just curious, not copying ;) Obviously shorting the USD is a winner at moment but you are still gonna get chopped some days. Have you had a crack at the futures market? If I lived in the US I'd be all over that!

Dunno about luck. Sounds like he has a good plan happening. More like:

markets + plan + discipline = (wins > losses)

That is why I want to know what indicators & tools etc. you are using, MarketSmart.
