I've got a Nikon, loves it

Ryan St. Germain 11-26-2007 03:28 PM

I'm looking for a new camera, so let me know how you like this one. I've been a canon user for years, but I wasn't impressed with the 30d, and sold it about 2 months after buying it.

RyuLion 11-26-2007 03:29 PM

ok, now you made me jealous..

still working out the bugs, Trying to adjust for low light situations, was very frustrating when I had it out the 1st time in a club, with red lights mostly as background. Aside from that love it, larger screen fast as Hell. Over all, glad I bought it, as I said its just a matter of me relaxing about the adjustments:winkwink:

fris 12-18-2007 05:30 AM

V_RocKs 12-18-2007 05:32 AM

I can imagine it is. i shoot a lot of low light too, and it's caused some reluctance in my next cam choice.

13.1 Megapixel.

There was a show on recently called Geek Gadgets or something like that. They displayed three pictures by a professional photographer side by side by side. They were posted on a billboard in a city, and the host of the show would ask people to rate all three photos. There was best, medium and low. No one could place them in correct order. They all looked the same to most people. Only one person got it right, and that's only becuse she had taken a photography class. So in the end, megapixels don't mean much. What matteres most is who the person is taking the picture and whether or not they know how to take the picture in various conditions.

K check out the GFY Xmas party in Toronto as well as The Video Secrets Xmas party , both have been shot using the 300:winkwink:

ichauch 12-18-2007 02:03 PM

The European Union SUCKS!
They charge 1800 Euros here for that camera - instead of $1800 in the US.

I am using the exact same D300/18-200VR setup for my photography and love it. The 18-200VR is a tremendous lens.

Any quick tips for a D200 newbie? :) So far I love it very, very much. I miss my D70, but the clarity and resolution of the d200 blows it away.
