No, the players don't run around with padding on, but if theres one rule I hate, it's that if you get tackled you have to get rid of the ball, theres no going on until your legs are broken or your eyes are gouged out, I can't see any other reason for it other than to stop people getting hurt... or to keep the game going, but we'll just shush about that.

If you want a real "football" it's all about rugby, and rugby union for that matter.

I really don't like AFL, however I must admit that some of the marks and then the falls they take as a consequence are pretty spectacular... :thumbsup

I'm not a big footy fan, The Grand Final is the only game I sit down and watch from start to finish.

Don't forget to pack the eski with ice and beer so you dont have to leave your chair and tune into Roy and HG's Festival of the boot. The game wouldnt be the same without them

I couldn't bring myself to watch football without roy and hg to make it somewhat entertaining.

They even make the olympics somewhat fun to watch

If they could get rid of the really strange linesman type I could watch it. With those guys prancing up and down the pitch it's too funny to take seriously.
