Well, I had the chance to play both at various friend's houses... if you are a first-person shooter player, I would lean towards the XBOX. The controller and game-play on the PS3 didn't hold up on FPS's.

That being said... the PS3 is an overall better system, features-wise: wireless built-in, BluRay ready, online is free.

I'm probably going to end up with both sooner or later :)

Was playing III last night...I don't know how people play it so often...after 10 minutes, my forearm couldn't take it anymore.

BTW...if you look at the credits on III, you'll see my buddy wearing the viking helmet in one of the pictures.

I own 4 chessboards and a chess clock for timed games. I used to be trained when I was younger, and got up to a 1700/1800 level...now I suck though :(... and no kids to speak of ;)
