....of the audio on a certain companies banner here. They have been using the same annoying piece of shit for a few years now and EVERY time I accidentally mouse over it, I consider leaving GFY. :disgust

It wouldn't bother me as much if it required you to move a mouse over it.

But it doesn't.... simply invades your privacy every time it comes up, and the privacy of those in your home.

As a result, you're forced to either turn sound off, or to disable flash or ads.

And I ask you: enough people disable flash or ads, and what's the point of buying a top banner ad spot?

I've had GFY's top banner blocked via adblock for a couple of years for this exact reason. Until someone learns to tell advertisers "no" then they don't get to show me any ads.

I think they forgot about it.

I set up my web cache/proxy to block fetches from ads.gofuckyourself.com. GFY is faster and quieter. :)
