Saw it yesterday. What a fucking propaganda movie.

But there are 2 funny things in the movie.
When the nazis are building walls around them, you can see a scene where they look so fucking sad. Exactly what the israelians are doing today.

And then the father of the jewish family says " i blame the american jews.." aint that right, we still do today!

Hah, overall, to much of "feel sorry for us" in this movie.
Its been over 60 years... Move on.

I loved that movie.

Most movies don't show the steps taken against the Jews and others. It almost seems impossible to think an entire Government would persecute people with laws. So, seeing the evolution and steps to the nightmare was interesting and made it more understandable how the citizens didn't just freak out. How people were pushed step by step into the full fledged nightmare was so sad to see.

How would you feel if your grandmother was shot in the head by a Nazi? Do you think you would be over it or would you want to maybe "not forget?"

Just pray those kind of things won't ever happen to people close to you.

Propaganda? It shows reality. At the end you even see a SS officer giving him food, showing that after all he still has a heart. I wouldn't call that propaganda.

The movie was produced so we should be reminded how sorry we should feel for the todays jewish community. It was produced so we shouldnt ask questions about Israel. See the bigger picture please.

That was a great movie. At first it seemed like just another Holocaust movie and wasn't too engrossed.

the real movie didn't actually start until he had to live in the ruins the second half. What a great story. It also showed that there were Germans who didn't agree with Hitler.

I read the first post while thinking of "The Piano". I was rather confused for a few moments.

The Pianist was a great movie. I really enjoyed it.

Propaganda or not, I don't really give a shit... it was an enjoyable movie and that's all to it.

Life is Beautiful was an incredible movie too. What do you have to say about that one?

That movie sucks because it's depressing.

I never saw the movie, but a lot of Germans didn't agree with Hitler, but were too afraid to do anything about it. I read a book once about SS soldiers that secretly helped the Jews, and it was an engrossing read.
