wordpress is not creating a feed, any ideas?

ok, i've NEVER in my dozens and dozens of dozens of wordpress installs experienced this problem, but wordpress is not creating the feed for subscribers. i just don't know what could be doing it. this is a client job and i got to get this figured out. could it be a serverside problem? should i look at changing permissions somewhere for the feed? i'm lost with this one, never seen it happen before...

it's also not creating permalinked pages on the blog. maybe i'm ignorant to something here, but what difference woul <li> and <ul> make as to the feed not being written? this is a backend problem, has nothing to do with the theme from what i can tell. changing themes makes no difference...

My site had the same fault, but here the problem was the html synatx, I forgot to close one <ul> tag and both browsers ( IE and FF ) didn't show the rss feed

check your permalink code/htaccess... for some reason some sites can't handle the /%date%/%postname%/ style and have to have index.php in front /index.php/%date%/%postname%/

do you get a feed by going to domain.com/?feed=rss2

yup i do get a feed visitting it that way. i had this mentioned to me by a friend on icq, and we're looking into getting .htaccess setup right with his host so the permalinks and feed can run smoothly.
