Hope it doesn't hit Charlie Harpers house, I love that show.

what do people expect?

if you build in flood zones, you'll have floods.

build/live in "tornado alley" - you'll have tornados

build/live on an earthquake fault... you'll have earthquakes

build/live on the gulf coast, you can have a direct hit from a hurricane

build/live in an area where the ecosystem requires constant burning with wildfires......

thats california for ya..

You forgot ... building on sides of hills = mud-slides and living so close to the border = Mexicans.

KILL_FRENZY 11-24-2007 02:34 PM

people aren't very forward thinking when it comes to construction. i always found it odd that there are endless building codes (federal and state) essentially designed to protect people - yet , if you want to built a trailer park in the middle of a tornado zone or area that continually floods... no one has an issue with it.

weird shit.

Methinks you'd be hard pressed to find enough viable living space if you were to only build in areas that had 0 (or low) chance of natural disasters of any sort.
