Donations to help the kitties! Every little bit helps!

Hey guys and gals, I am sure most everyone knows I am a HUGE kitty lover, well animal lover in general. I moved out to BFU (BUM FUCK UTAH) and have been living out here helping family for the past 4 months, which was longer than I wanted but I had back surgery so that didn't help. Anyway, I am moving to Vegas the first week of December and will have to leave several adorable outdoor kitties, two of which I raised from 5 weeks old. They were farel but I changed them, like I do. I made them a home to keep warm but it's not good enough for the winters out here and I know no one is going to make sure their home is warm like I do. I tell you, people that live in small towns SUCK ASS when it comes to caring for pets. I have never seen anything like it. I have trained so many people out here and brought the love of a pet to their attention. I even got the "The Big Fix Utah" (a company that travels around to fix pets) to come out and fix everyone's animals, and paid for a few peoples kitties to be fixed. If they are not all fixed then those little buggers will just multiply again and all that work would mean nothing. I have purchased several huge bags of kitty food from Costco ($10 a pop) and shown people how easy it is to care of out door kitties. Then I had to fucking shoot a kitty and that killed me. He was hurt in the face real bad and had no home. I can’t really find a home for pets out here and he was not good at all. I cried for days. It's one thing if someone else puts a cat down for me but I was the only one to do it at the time and being so far away from everything you are limited to what you can do. He was hurting and I did what I had to do. :(

Oh I forgot my epass my ID is loryn AT epassporte DOT com

Well I found these great outdoor kitty houses that are $50 a pop (not including shipping) and I am getting one maybe two but it's not enough. So I thought I would reach out to my animal lover friends on GFY and see if anyone wanted to donate $10 $20 $30 (it all adds up) so I can place an order for a few of these houses and keep the kitties warm from the freezing ass winter out here. I will cover all shipping cost for each house bought. Now the other thing that is great is each house that is purchased part of the proceeds goes to the Feral Bureau of Indiana, the people who help feral cats and helped to design this affordable kitty life saving house for out door kitties.

Here is the kitty house and the link to the site to check out what it is all about. If anything maybe you will buy one for a feral kitty you know. Feral kitties can be so cool once you get them use to you. They hang around all day outside and annihilate anything that comes up to the house. The are little murder machines but they do it for your love, (and your food haha)

I will take pictures of all the kitty houses bought, if I raise any money to buy them. :thumbsup Also like I said if you don't want to donate but know of a feral kitty around you and buy a house for that kitty, then my work here has been good enough. hehe

Good thing the cats didn't get snubbed. I know how bad eros felt, he didn't recover for several months. And since I really likes cats, I don't want them to get hurt and depressed.

I am stuck out in bum fuck Kansas helping family out. I've been here quite a while. We have tons of feral cats around the neighborhood. I have very seriously looked into starting a trap, neuter and release program here in town. I talked to a couple of local vets here about working out some kind of deal for cheaper spay/neuter fees and vaccinations. I shit you not, one of these back woods, inbred, hillbilly asshole vets actually told me "Naw, I ain't gonna fix 'em on the cheap but what I can do for ya is put them down for 10 bucks a piece and I will even take care of disposal."

Everyone in this little shithole town seems to be against providing even the most basic care for these cats. To them, euthanasia is the only option. That has always been the city policy for feral cats around here. Clearly the population is growing despite the trap and kill policy they have always had. A reasonable person would have to conclude that their policy to control the population is completely ineffective. I can't get the city or local vets to cooperate with me at all. I could do this all on my own but would run out of money very quickly. Once I leave, I'll bet there isn't a single person in this town who would carry on. Unfortunately I will probably just have to put this on the back burner, forget about it and be thankful that I don't live here.

With winter here I might see if I can get a couple of the neighbors to allow me to place these shelters on their property. I doubt it though since my goal is to humanely control the population and give them basic care and the neighbors just want the cats gone. Allowing me to place a shelter on their property would just make the cats want to stick around. They probably wouldn't go for that.

Yes I have a rancher that has horses out here and he comes out every morning, early in the morning, to work. He has been doing that for over 10 years and will continue to do that, it's his job. He promised he would put out one huge bowl of food every morning for all the kitties and fill up their water bowl. He has 2 huge kitty bags of food right now. They have a horse hose on the ranch, which is what I call the hose that comes out of the ground in the middle of the field. So it?s nothing to fill up the water. Plus the kitties can drink from the horse?s water if all else fails and I have caught them doing that, even though they already had water. haha I even caught the rancher petting one of the kitties. I didn?t say anything to him but I thought it was sweet.

One huge bowl of food last them all day and night. When I go to refill the bowl in the morning there is still food in it, so that tells me they are eating enough. If I didn't think they would get fed I would remove them and take them to the city to find them homes one at a time, but they love being out here and they love each other. I don't think they would do well in someone?s house either. They are wild kitties that show affection, thanks to me, and before they were starving and unhealthy. Plus my nephews and their little friends go out and play football in the field and they play with the kitties all the time. My nephews will not be here for much longer, maybe a month, but their little friends will still ride their horses and bikes out to play in the fields and promised to make sure the kitties are safe. It's amazing to watch boys go from punching each other to holding a kitten. haha

A few strong kitty houses out there would be perfect for them to live happy kitty lives and be safe. I will be coming back to the house off and on through out the year and check on them. I just hate to leave them with nothing at all. So their kitty houses will be in the back in the bushes next to the horse field when I leave and if any other kitties come up they will get fixed and have food. I know out door kitties don't live that long, but I will make sure the kitty houses are used and if all the kitties disappear I will find someone to donate the houses too.

I am not going to sit in this thread and debate you on this. Anytime you want to I would be more than happy to debate politics with you on the homeless. When I donate to humans it's for St. Jude So my human charity is better than yours! Unless you donate to African children. (hear how stupid it sounds to debate which charity is better)

I feel for you. I only have a town of 400 next to me and it was pretty easy to get them to fix the cats. A lot of people did shoot the kitties or take them to be put down. I think I have a good hold on it so far but all it takes is one horny bitch to meet up with Tom and it's all over. I have gotten some of the people to buy these homes and others to let the kitties into their garage. But it is amazing how they treat them. I had to explain to someone that a feral cat is not the same at a fucking rabbit or gofer. Cats have been domesticated. I could not take one of those jack rabbits and make it love me and follow me like I do the kitties. It's very frustrating and if I think about it I get mad. But I can't fix the world just the part I am in.

I almost beat a chick's ass. She got 2 kittens, put them in her front yard and left for the week. They were like7 weeks old. My nephew was riding and saw the kitties and ran home to tell me. Haha I took care of them until she got back and told her off. The human body dies after 6 days of no water, how long would it take for a baby kitten? They need to eat 5 times a day. She said she got them for her 2 year old son. What the fuck does a 2 year old do with a kitten? OH that chick and I went rounds. She finally saw my point of view and got a dog she keeps in the house, of course she left the kittens out there alone with no food and not fixed, one male one female. I had to hunt them down and take them in, fix them and get them to be friendly. I don't like to fight with people but when you fuck with anything that CAN'T HELP ITSELF (hint hint humans can) that is when I don't give a shit who you are, that there are fightin' words. haha

A small Browning .380 and it fucking sucked! I have no idea how people hunt, if I was hungry I could do it obviously I shot a kitty because I had too, but I will leave that to the men. You kill and I have no problem cooking. I was crying when I did it which didn't help. If anyone was around and saw me doing this they would cry too, unless they didn't have a soul. haha

But I told the boys that kitty finally died, I didn't tell them I shot him, and they made him a nice little grave with RIP Gray Kitty. Damn cat had me crying for 2 days and it wasn't even mine. It just sucks to have to be the one to do the actual killing. :(

Thank you so much baby! I just went outside and kissed the two youngest kittens that I raised from 5 weeks old. They are the biggest lovers, but they play with all the other kitties so well I don?t want to remove them. They actually nurse on one of the female kitties who is fixed and she loves it. It?s so cute but gross at the same time. :1orglaugh

The kittens said thank and asked me if I would paint AmpLand in yellow and white over the kitty door of their house and take a picture! :)

Well I think we are going to have to do something about that. I have one of the largest, if not the largest, animal helping shelter places in the country out in the middle of Utah. Best Friends Animal Society. They are awesome. I volunteer time to them once a year now. They take birds, bunnies, horses, cats, dogs, and just about anything else that was a pet and left behind, abandoned or abused. I will find out what they think you can do, or anyone living in a place that neglects animals can do. As Bob Parker said as the end of every show, ?Have your pet spayed or neutered, Good Bye everybody!?

You kill and I have no problem cooking. I was crying when I did it which didn't help. If anyone was around and saw me doing this they would cry too, unless they didn't have a soul. haha

But I told the boys that kitty finally died, I didn't tell them I shot him, and they made him a nice little grave with RIP Gray Kitty. Damn cat had me crying for 2 days and it wasn't even mine. It just sucks to have to be the one to do the actual killing. :(

Thank you so much! You started my day off with a smile! :)

Yes it did suck and I hope I never have to do anything like that again. :(

That kitty video is so cute. Stupid kitty and his little head sticking out like he is driving a bus. hahahahahahah

I found these links this morning. Cats are so awesome. They jump so high and are so balanced. It's amazing.

My grandmother started trapping and fixing the wild cats in her neighborhood about 15 years ago. At that point she had 23 cats she was feeding daily. As of this past week, there is only 1 cat...who was the last kitten from one of the last litters of kittens. She's an outdoor "homeless" cat who's been living in their garage for almost 15 years.
