Make hacked membership accounts completely useless without touching a button
 

I've had a few requests for this, hopefully those who read this will find it useful, and if you complain about my programming, lack of documentation, quotes, and whatever else you want to nitpick at then you can just GFY.

Im posting this for an educational reason only, i dont care if you use my code word for word, if you use sniplets or not, no i do not want any money for it, no i will not help you install it, get it working or explain to you how it works since it takes away from some stuff i need to get done.

Again, yes this could probably have been wrote a lot clear, with proper indentation, and documentation but since my intentions were for no one else to use it then why bother.

One last thing, just delete the different functions which are not complete/you dont need.

There is no install, basically, install mysql/php/apache (which im sure you guys already have done)

Next, copy this script so it is outside of your website.

When a user logs in, set the session ID, and on each page you will need to call checksession to ensure that session handler works..

How it works:

User logs in with their username/password, great, they get a session ID and move on into the site..

When another user logs in with the same info the program deletes the original session which was created with the same username/password which would bump the first guy out who logged in. basically, it becomes a loop of people logging other people out which makes the account useless since most accounts get hundreds of logins quickly!

log in, open a new browser, log in in that browser, return the first browser and try surfing the site!

a great addition to this would be a link on the error page. "Click here to have a new password generated and sent to your e-mail address."

if someone who got the password from the site clicks on it, everyone else will be blocked. and given that people like to click things, this might happen quickly. :)

That would completely depend on the site using the script and whether they would want to link it that way and write the support files/program for it.

I agree with you on this however, you have to remember, that everyone else has this login information, so, if you email a new password to the email addy registered to the account then you could stop it right there. b ut you wil lneed to hack the script to track login attempts and compare it to the IPS accessing the site to completely know whether it is some idiot logging in again or really a hacked account.

Using this script you can do many powerful things with it, such as http://www.dvdera.com is running a shopping cart built off this script, mind you it still has many many more options than this one but none the less, you can build on this to do what you need to.. I have my entire site running with this script, from the page which comes up to the actual links which link to the huge pictures (once you click on the thumbnail).


My goal with this post was just to inform people it is possible and give them a starting point to work from, along with a working script to build from ;)
