What the americans know about euro
What's the general knowledge abou euro (the currency) in the U.S. ? Do the most of the people know the US/EUR exchange rate?

It's what foreigners use to buy stuff.
|
I don't think so, actually it would be fair to offer the US surfers a fixed prices in USD and Euro surfers fixed prices in EUR..
Why do you want to screw the US surfer because his currency is screwed.. Seems like patriotism doesn't apply when it's about money :) The other problem is that billers and softwares have real trouble handling multiple currency products.. |
earn euro, spend usd. what else do you need to know?
|
i know that rapid share charges in euros
|
I think they will recognize when they are paying $45 instead of $30
|
where is the euro country on a map? is it near europe?
|
yes I know that a euro is worth about a dollar forty seven, and it was worth about a dollar forty six a few days ago.
I know that it replaced most (all?) currencies in the continent of Europe a few years ago. not much else. why do you ask? |
Ok, thank you
Another question, do you think that a price in euros on a paysite would stop them from buying a membership? |

and even if they do, they have no idea about the exchange rate. |
why would anyone know the exchange rate of a currency if they never have to exchange?

[QUOTE=Megafoo;13413414]Yeah, we americans are so bad, why don't you foreign webmasters use Geoip and block all U.S.
Because Americans buy stuff no one else would. |

I purchased an upgrade for Nero from their website. When I saw the charge on my credit card they had charged me Euros and there was also a service charge from the bank for making the exchange. I contacted the bank and pointed out that they showed me the upgrade price in U.S. dollars and they had an office in Glendale, CA which leads me to believe I was making the purchase in U.S. currency. The bank agreed and issued a chargeback to Nero. |

The only other thing to know is, this is not a good thing :winkwink: |

I've seen videos where they mention things like "Eurodollar", "Holland Dollar" and even somebody who thought they had "crowns" The very fact that some people seem to think you can put "dollar" after everything says a lot :1orglaugh |
isnt the euro the place where foreigners live?
:1orglaugh |
The average American does not even know what the Euro is.

99% of americans could care less about the exchange rate, it has as much relevance to them as the price of IBM stock, or price of cotton on the mercantile exchange...

Only my :2 cents: - my US friends know only too well, tho they may not be an "average" sampling - and they sure know what Euros and GBP's are. |
A lot of people in the UK do not want the Euro but I guess in the future the Euro will replace the GBP. I like paying for things from the USA at the moment as its so cheap, They said on the news that a lot of English people are going over to the USA to do "Christmas shopping" as it was so much cheaper, I just cant figure out why they say it is cheaper to buy over in the USA after they have paid for thier Air Flights, but buying from the USA online sure is good for us UK people:)
