This bitch is really a bitch.
I am dogsitting for my friend's dog since they always look in on Buddy, so I figure it is the least I can do.
Their dog is about 9 and so unsociable it isn't even funny. She is fine with me, but she is quite intolerant when it comes to Buddy who just wants to play. I figured if I forced her to deal with him, on his home turf, she would eventually get used to him and start being the friendly dog I know she is. Any suggestions on how I can force her to become more tolerant? |
Drug her. and let him preform some doggie sex on her.

Not force, but rewarding?

Meet Jet's dog at the park. That should straighten her out:

She was tolerant then, but I really don't feel like spending the day hand feeding her. |
Oh were talking about a dog here.... hmmm... I have no comment then.

How is she about playing, if you take them both in the yard and get them to run after stick or ball and make them play together that might smooth the atmosphere a little...
If not just throw them in a jakuzzi and play some Barry White :1orglaugh |
Some dogs are just moody...
Our lil Lucca is half chow, and it def shows in her personality... She's friendly as can be, but 95% of the time she just wants to be left alone... the other 5%... she'll be up chasing Gigi around in seconds flat, and doing laps around the house, but it took her 2-3 months of almost 24 hour exposure to get her to loosen up that much. |

He even brings tug toys to her trying to initiate play, but she is having none of it. |

most dogs with that kind of attitude are already fucked. Forget about it. I'd blame the owner for not socializing her enough.

just treat them good always. you need to understand them and give them rewards. :)

Dogs dont naturally become friends all the time just like people. I see that with my three, two of them get along great while the third the oldest just tolerates them and they he. I would keep them apart, you dont want a fight females tend to fight to the death not to surrender. If a fight does happen grab her by her hind legs she will let go automatically.

Not all dogs get along with other dogs. What breed is she?
How is Buddy acting? If he's too forward/playful with her, not all dogs like being jumped all over by a strange dog... this especially happens with older dogs (for ex, my neighbor has an older rottweiler... when my dog was a puppy, they just didn't get along because my dog was too hyper for her). It's possibly that your dog is projecting some sort of signal or behavior that she doesn't like... Basically, it might be your dog's fault, or it might just be her breed... or it could be that her owners haven't socialized her properly... if she's gone 9 years without enough exposure to other dogs, that would definitely make her less social. |
