What fucking sucks more is that the only way I've realized to get rid of it is to disable flash or disable advertisements...

Which means, when the company I work for is paying for a top banner spot, that banner is costing us money.

Goddamned thing got me like four times when I was composing The MinusOneBit Guide to Tax Evasion. Everytime I went up to my bookmarks I had to listen to it. Finally, I scrolled down enough that it would be covered up.

I'd like to run into the guy who owns that program one of these days and ring his neck while shouting "Don't you under stand the trauma that banner inflicts on people, you smalled dicked little man?!?!?!?!"

the reason it's costing them affiliates is because the minute they hear it they run off without looking at the content of the banner.
if they already signed up to the duke they won't leave or anything - but a banner is suppose to gather affiliates and this one DOES NOT! PEROID!

I'd seriously like to kill the guy who owns that program. All of the other top spot advertisers on GFY should band together and demand that Duke Dollars subsidize their ads since that banner is undoubtedly responsible for the lions share of people who find ways to disable ads on this site.

First of all we need to decide what is the purpose of banner? Just make people talk about it (aka generate impressions)? Or actually gather affiliate leads? If its later, this banners is miserably failed at that.

So, impressions are not always good, some impressions are bad impressions. Keeping that fucking piece of shit banner tells us that DukeDollars don't care about webmasters/potential affiliates.

All I know is dukedollars wouldn't pay for that spot month after month if it wasn't doing something for them.

As a general rule I don't like sound banners. But that one I don't seem to mind, probably because I like the movie the line is from.
