Just bought a "Voyager"

So after traveling through 4 verizon stores last night. I bought the voyager.
For all of you who dont know, the voyager is verizon's way to compete with the iphone. Just came out yesterday.

Touch screen and all that and opens up to a QWERTY keyboard.
So far im loving this phone, the mobile tv is great, MUCH better than i expected. Watching south park while waiting for my train to come in. Camera is great, touch screen works great. No problems so far and i strongly recommend it.

Agreed. :thumbsup

Keep us posted... I made the mistake of buying the Chocolate when it was new, and it sucked so badly that I'm wary of any new LG phone now.

Ditto. I hate this phone so much.

I have been looking into that phone to replace my treo 700w... I was gonna give it time to see how the reviews are.

:1orglaugh I thought you got a mini-van

Fap 11-23-2007 01:46 PM

Yeah so far no problems at all with it. Im always nervous about buying 1st gen phones and such.. but yeah its awesome so far. and im actually very impressed with the internet on the phone.. it easily stacks up against the iphone browser MINUS youtube. But i tried out gfy last night and it worked great! I really recommend it. Im still figuring out all the neat little features haha. But i will keep you guys posted

PornMogul 11-23-2007 01:48 PM

I was actually gona buy that phone but I cant get tv where I am so i just went with the venus which looks so fucking pimp. If I could get tv in sd I would have gotten the voyager no question.

TidalWave 11-23-2007 03:03 PM

what tv channels do you get?

Star 69 11-23-2007 03:36 PM

I know nothing about this phone. But i do not like LG. IMHO

flowereater 11-23-2007 04:06 PM

hmm im lovin it

shekinah 11-23-2007 04:43 PM

That looks one cool gadget:)

J$tyle$ 11-23-2007 05:28 PM

I checked it out today.

It's a cool gadget.

Not nearly iPhone type cool though.

I like the touch response/mini-vibrate.

I like the v-cast multi-media features tv/music videos/etc.

I love the big ass keyboard with the dual/inside screen.

Overall, it's a more than decent phone but it doesn't really have a BIG ENOUGH "wow factor" for the money!

$.02

i left my phone in my car and im too lazy to go get it right now.. but off the top of my head on the basic tv plan i have:
Fox, ESPN, Comedy Central, MTV, CNN?, Nick, and some others i cant think of

TidalWave 11-23-2007 09:11 PM

what options are available? is it like normal tv or what? where does the signal come from? Verizon itself or partnerships with local cable companies?

tony286 11-23-2007 09:51 PM

looks like a very cool phone.

carol.prime 11-24-2007 12:29 AM

it's live tv.. but im not sure where the signal comes from but it is different from cell phone signal.

Fap 11-24-2007 01:25 PM

haha, just went to the verizon store to get a lcd protector for the screen and everyone in the store was asking how i got the phone. i had like $600 offers on the phone

Fap 12-08-2007 08:53 PM

Just wanted to update everyone still no glitches as of yet.
Working great, im wondering what the next generation version is going to do.

One downside i realized is to unlock the screen you tap the screen, the iphones slide to unlock is 10x better when the phone is in your pocket

HouseHead 12-08-2007 09:00 PM

fuckin clean celly.. maybe santa will be nice and drop me one this year

ungratefulninja 12-08-2007 09:40 PM

I sold cellphones for a few years.. I will never buy an LG mobile phone. I agree they are better now, but they made shit for too long.

Rogers sucks.

Ask them what happened to their extended warranty replacement plan on batteries.

I regret ever leaving Telus. Rogers has dropped more calls than I can count.
