Don't get PUNKED by police (read this)

http://www.lacriminaldefenseblog.com...p-your-rights/

Some crucial information to know just in case you find yourself in an uncomfortable situation with police. To sum up the whole article: When cops question you or try to soften you up, you just need to do one thing: SHUT UP and KEEP IT SHUT until you get a chance to talk to your lawyer.

Excerpt:
"Anyone who has watched TV is familiar with their Miranda Rights and knows they have the ?right to an attorney.? Even if you aren?t under arrest you don?t have to speak with the police. However, despite being able to recite their rights by heart, most people voluntarily give them up when being questioned by law enforcement or placed under arrest. The police are experts are getting people to talk; here are five tricks they use to get you to give up your rights:"

Absolutely, the best thing you can do is shut-up! The police will play off whatever you say.

Now since you people won't see my sig, try this out: unlimited attorney consultation and access - 24/7/365 for emergencies (get stopped and have an attorney on your cell within 30 seconds) for a low monthly fee. and that ain't all.

BTW, Gene, thanks for posting these articles. I'll stop hijacking now. :) :Oh crap

Yeah, cops will play all sorts of tricks just to get a confession. It's been longstanding law that DECEPTION by police, within certain limits, is perfectly acceptable to get a confession.

Old news?

Hope I'll never need to use it, but it never hurts to be ready and know what is the best thing to do just in case. Thanks for posting $5 :)

the only time you should talk to a cop, is when you need directions

or

you're giving the license plate # of your stolen vehicle

or

you're really high & need to snap out of it......

otherwise it is utterly useless....

once again, cops are good for 3 things...

directions, retrieving stolen vehicles & killing your buzz

So does your lawyer show up before, or after you get tasered for no reason?

Well if you get tasered for no reason, you just got yourself a case. The key here is "for no reason." Just keep quite until your lawyer comes and talk to him/her.

Once upon a many time when one of my lawyers showed up, he said, and I quote, "You have two things going for you: You're white and your name doesn't end in a vowel."

I never forgot him.

Pretty Funny, huh?
