I need a good convertor from WMV, AVI to FLV

Flash Video MX Pro :)

Pro, sounds too complex..LOL. Where do I get/buy it?
I need something simple that will do the work for me.

from all I have seen mencoder is the LAST thing you should consider to convert WMV OR MOV files to FLV.....

9 out of 10 of the videos come out de-synced and they end up looking like fucked up Godzilla movies lol

now if your able to actually convert with this please post your settings!

just to let you guys know, this was created by the people who made flash, so its far superior to anything out there :2 cents:

No it's not. They created flash but they didn't not create the Flash 8 codec.

www.on2.com is the company that did. They make Flix pro which is the best and most versatile Encoding tool anywhere for Flash 8 video.

I would still suggest using the Flash CS3 Video Encoder. It's the easiest out there. There's also a program called Mediacoder that handles the most codecs of any free encoder I've ever seen.

I have been using this and like it a lot, plus it is free.
