LOL, n00b :) I changed mine this weekend. I'm sure the garages will be overflowing with requests today since it snowed.

That is dangerous..

You change all of them, or you keep your " four season " tires.

Evil E 11-20-2007 09:45 AM

Hopefully you have a garage. Anyways, you shouldn't worry that much if your tires are in good shape, because apparently 1 season tires don't exist anymore. The summer(now 3 or 4 seaons) tires you buy should be able to hold their own in the snow but still won't be as good as winter tires.

I"m not a pro, but that's what I've been told.

You also need to mark them for rotation if you do it yourself.

It is supposed to start snowing this evening here. I hope it does all night long :)

baddog 11-20-2007 11:17 AM

Do snow tires really make that much of a difference? We don't really deal with that here and my only experience with an extended period of snow was the time I drove to Denver in my 280ZX.

I only slid off the road once.

fuzebox 11-20-2007 11:34 AM

I got a sunburn on the weekend :(

Yeah the rubber is totally different. It's a night and day difference, really.

Great place. Skiied there in High School. We were there for a week and one day it was so cold we actually couldn't ski it! And trust me, I've been throught the cold before, but this was just too cold and windy for any sort of enjoyment. They may have shut the mountain down actually...
