what the hell is wrong with icq
 

I've used it for years, have alot of people on my list and now on this new fucked up 2002a version I cant pick my own noises for incoming contacts (so I can differentiate between staff and everyone else), I can't freaking add people anymore, the servers always fail to add user, and twice now in the last two months I've had to re-install the damn exe to a different location since it was giving me abnormal termination due to runtime errors.

UGH. I don't do msn, yahoo, aol, messenger thingies, I've only done icq forever.

you gotta find the pre 2000 version
the newer version sucks ass

I like icq lite immensely.

Loved trillian about a year ago but discovered that about 30% of my messages were not getting delivered.

Damn I hate when that happens.

I love ICQ, have used it since...well about a week or two after it was released to the public back in 95/96 time...damn thats a long time ago.....

NEways, I still have versions from back then......if you need an older copy of ICQ just ask......i almost all the versions and I also have a crack that removes the Ads AOL put into it (somewhere)

I got stuck with icq 2002a and it pisses me off at least 3-4 times a day, booting me offline in mid-message, showing me as offline when I'm not... FUCK! I downloaded Trillian but it doesn't seem to recognise 2002a... Wotta joke...

the problem is AOL bought them

from what i've seen trillian has about a bazillion and a half security holes in it. i'd wait a few months to see if they come out with some patches.

I just had a problem with it delivering half of another person's message.

It seemed like every other line was cut out. The other guy was explaining something to me. Since I only got half of what he was saying I thought he was trying to make me mad. I was ready to kick his ass! I was kinda wondering if he switched on the 'Jerk Bot' to finish our conversation.

Fortunately he sent me an e-mail transcription which let me see that most of what we were saying to each other as getting lost.
