SEO question about domain age/extension
8 year old .org, nothing special in the name, just the age and .org - mean anything really or just another name?
what about the content, does it relate to the domain name?
Age helps a lot . . . . what about the content?
No content on it yet because it was dormant for a while.
get a picture of how google might see it over time...view the pages growth on the domain at archive.org ....and yes, as baddog mentioned age totally helps in general...ESP in certain competitive markets.

Yep, I tend to agree. It does matter how long in the future you have the domain registered for, how long you been at an IP address, and how big the site is. Them fellas at Google aint' shittin in their diapers and suckin their momma's teats. They know what the hell is goin on. Site has to be stable, big and getting bigger before they'll give you them there heaping spoonfulls.

would be better if the site was online for all 8 years.

by itself doesn't really mean THAT much... it's not really worth much at all based on the description....
