I'm having a blast down here. Australia has been great thus far and Brisbane specifically is gorgeous.

The LionDollars team is indispensable as I embark to dive the Great Barrier Reef, surf the Gold Coast and hopefully, find some other uniquely Aussie things to do. These guys are as awesome to get out and play with as they are to work with.

Anybody have some ideas?

I wonder where he lives now - I guess Melbourne. He has a great drinking capacity and is ussually hangin out in some bar (like some veterans from Korea club)

He immigrated ages ago and used to send us the "western" vinyl records from there, once he was back in Valachia (the wild place I come from) I remember he had an incredible Aussie accent while trying to speak the native language.

I would still love to visit him one day, hope I am gonna make it before he drinks his last shot..

Well NO absinthe for me since I spent a weekend with an old mate of mine from college..

first night from 7 PM till 7 AM and then a follow up from 10 PM till 8:30 AM ..

LOTS of classic rock LOTS of drinks and LOTS to talk about..


The most senseless drunk bullshit we invented was actually at 6 AM sunday when we watched an old Ritchie Blackmore solo video..

Blow off work for a night or two and come to Brisbane. We'll hit the city and party like it's December 5th.

I hit the Gold Coast last weekend and surfed Rainbow Bay/Snapper and Coolangatta after stops through Surfer's Paradise and Burleighs. Amazing breaks, looong rides and beautiful tubes. 5' - 7' overhead, all sand breaks with strong, but gentle surf.

This country is amazing! :thumbsup

Dinner with Lindsay, Mel and the Family
 

Last night, I got the chance to do dinner with Lindsay and his family. It makes ALL the sense in the world now how ToyBoy became the man he is. He's got an incredible family, one of the sweetest Moms I've ever known, a hilarious Dad and when the chronology of teenage Lindsay lays out, it's VERY visible where everything went...right.

Ain't this cute? Lindsay and Mel kissing in his Mom's dining room.


All my deepest thanks to my friend Lindsay for the invite to his boyhood home and many compliments again to the AWESOME traditional Australian dinner piled high with corned beef and gravy, tons of veggies, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and XXXX Beer, which is a hell of a lot better than Fosters.


That monstrosity of a dinner was followed closely by the most incredible dessert I've ever had...PAVLOVA (and lots of chocolates not shown here).


Pavlova is a meringue cake topped with this delicious layer of sweet, light cream and fruit with a bottom crust made entirely of sugar and more sugar. It's light, sweet and heavenly. I can't imagine why we don't have this in the states, but I'm going to export it to Panama as soon as possible.

Thanks again to my mate Lindsay, his lady Mel and his family. If y'all get a chance to come down under, consider yourself lucky if you get invited home to meet Lindsay’s peeps. :thumbsup
