Better Results On Yahoo or Google?
 

Anyone else get a better search on Yahoo than from Google?

At the moment isnt Yahoo search powered by Google? It seems theyre just using it in a different way but the results seem more accurate. Anyone else seen this same phenomenon?

I know everyone wants his own thread but there has been a very good 2 pages thread on this subject, started by Pornwolf I think.

edit: well actually that thread was more about conversions from traffic from google vs traffic from yahoo, and not about how relevant search results are

Yep i saw that one...... I agreed conversions are better on Yahoo traffic any day of the month.

But now im seeing some terrible results when I search Google. It looks like Google are trying to be too clever with their algo and its fucking things up.

my yahoo traffic is VERY productive ;] yahoo seems to like DK

Yahoo is better with black hat...
Google is better with white hat...
MSN is in the middle with both.

for adult yahoo seems a bit better on some stuff

try this search on both yahoo and google..

google eats up the torrents , and the first 3 links are completely useless

yahoo also has some torrents , but it also lists some real sites instead of just rapidshare and other content theft type sites that google does.

google has better ads. thus they make more money because the results are useless for "downloading a playboy dvd"

Blogging (splogging) on google. Everything else - yahoo search and images

I like that Yahoo picked up some of my Google Adwords links.

google is better for your ego...yahoo is better for your wallet.
