No, impossible. Happens to me all the time. I use spamarrest.

Spamarrest is good to use,, If it's coming from your domain,, then turn off relaying.

What, you haven't blamed this attack on Israel yet?

EviLGuY 11-18-2007 07:58 AM

Nothing you can do.. they can punch any damn thing they want into their fake headers.

who knows, they did not leave their address unfortunately

I used to get shitload of those, it'll die off soon

gideongallery 11-18-2007 09:17 AM

do you own your own server completely or are you shared hosting
if you own your own server you can use SPF it will not eliminate the problem since spam filter now a days will use it to verify the originating server
you can make your domain name less valuable to spoof
they will target a non spf enabled domain since most of their spam will be automatically blocked

Klen 11-18-2007 09:18 AM

Use spam filter no other alternative.I was once getting 1000 mails every hour beacuse of it.

they are spoofing your domain in the return feilds

happened to me.

i was getting like 200 undeliverable returns a minute until i turned off the catch all on my server

fucking pain in the ass

ridikuloz 11-18-2007 10:11 AM

since I don't know much about this, do the spammers use your STMP server or their own?

Yeah catch-all accounts are a pain in the butt. Not just with spammers faking the return address, but also with other spam being send to non existing accounts on your domain. Catch-all will just gather all those emails unless you delete the catch-all mail file, I had this happen before and ended up with 2GB cath-all mail files every 2 hours, basically bringing my mail server to a halt. Never understood why the catch-all mail account is created by default to begin with.
