SERVER GURUS - question about NAMESERVERS

So I'm setting up nameserver on my new server and I'm wondering
how long does it take for the name server to start working (after enabling them on my machine and registering in my domain registrar cpanel).

Is it quicker then a few years ago (because the domains work almost instantly after registering them now) or should I wait a few days?

are you using a static ip or dynamic ip pointing to your name server?

The actual action is instant but remember that root servers are serving a chaced DNS so as each one refreshes it gets your new records

so bottom line ... no longer then 48 hours

If you already have pointed your domains to your dns server and all is good then it is just an issue your new website as to propagate through the Internet and such should take up to 24 hours, however can occur quicker.

If you have any question let me know.

Best of luck, :)
