I swear with each new site big corporate sponsors release, its more obvious than the last they have no clue about the niche they are trying to exploit.

And people wonder why it doesnt convert. You either know the niche or you dont.

In most cases, the sponsors don't.

They count on webmasters who DON'T know their niche... you know that.

Well said Fletch - most sponsors do not have a clue what they are doing when it comes to niche sites.

it's not even so much that as they should at least understand the niche a little bit...maybe actually...gasp...read up on the niche....
