Great Career Opportunity For Techs
Techie Hosting Inc. (dba TechieMedia) is seeking a Network/CISCO administrator to perform a variety of functions and tasks on our mission critical network.
Administer and manage complex local area networks including installation of server software and a large variety of hardware, system monitoring, disaster prevention and backups, capacity management, usage reporting. FreeBSD, Red Hat Linux, and Windows Servers. Support network performance problem solving; assist with customer planning and implementation. Act as on site customer interface for installation, design, repair, upgrade and maintenance of network hardware and software components. Maintain tracking, inventory control, and purchase orders of hardware such as server systems and networking equipment. Communication of technical problems, datacenter requirements, systems constraints, and also perform one on one direct customer debriefings. Minimum Requirements: BS in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree is preferred but not required. Three to Five years of LAN Administration experience, including: monitoring server and network health; configuring and supporting Foundry BigIron 8000 and Cisco 6500 routers; Ethernet; firewalls ; routing. Ideally formal Cisco training to the CCNA level or better. MUST be able to work on-site in downtown Newark, NJ. The position is full time. Solid LAN knowledge and abstract trouble-shooting experience is required. MUST be a U.S. citizen and live within a 50 mile radius of Newark, NJ. Salary and benefits will be based on experience. This is not a part time gig, (no pun intended) this is a serious opportunity as we have just completed the buildout of our new Data Center and need to add to our technical staff. I should have added that you do not need to come into the data center everyday, much of the work can be done remotely.:) |

Bump for a few more lookers. So far we have 2 candidates that are willing to relocate and we are flying them in to NY for the weekend to see the operation. To answer the question most people have been asking, YES the salary can be anything from 50k up to 200k for the right people.
