as a retired waiter i appreciate this. people have no idea what servers go thru. tipping well can make your future experiences at a restraunt very very nice.

This is true. As soon as the owner sees me sit down she automatically brings me my drink, a basket of her homemade bread and a saucer of seasoned olive oil.

I agree. Being a good tipping a couple of dollars most of the time depending how much I got on me, the waiter or waitress usually remembers me afterwards and becomes friendly with me. Sometimes, they even serve me like free chips or free bread just off the cooking. :pimp

one way to make their customer satisfied. if you'll give more tip the more you can get good service, then. :)

Back when I bartended, I had this regular that would tip $94 on a $6 Jack and Coke... so, every Thursday, after he had come in, I'd pass on a bit of that love to the kitchen staff, and others that didn't regularly receive any share from the tipping pool.

Things always seemed to run a lot smoother on Thursday nights for everybody in the restaurant.
