New Earths may be popping up in Pleiades
"Small, rocky planets that could resemble Earth or Mars may be forming around one of the hundreds of stars in the Pleiades cluster, astronomers reported Wednesday."
"?This is the first clear evidence for planet formation in the Pleiades, and the results we are presenting may well be the first observational evidence that terrestrial planets like those in our solar system are quite common,? said Joseph Rhee of the University of California at Los Angeles, who led the study." http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21794447/ http://msnbcmedia2.msn.com/j/msnbc/C...4p.hmedium.jpg |

If you like this kind of stuff, be sure to check Celestia, it's a free software to navigate all the known objects in the universe with loads of information. Contrary to common belief, there are lots of planets already discovered, you can just choose to navigate to stars with planets and baaam! you go there (adjust speed or you'll travel at real time speed, lol). It's quite trippy and addictive, at least at first
