why don't the industry leaders buy out all the scum?

all the biggest pirating tube sites and torrent sites, etc...

make all the operators sign contracts forbidding them from getting back into the business

and then just fix the sites and turn them into huge promotional tools... seamlessly..

just a thought.

Most everyone selling thinks their shit will keep growing and should be selling at 5 years profit. Most everyone buying thinks there should be a huge risk premium and wants to buy at 2 or less years profit.

On that note, if you are selling anything contact me. I know buyers.

Yeah, it would probably turn out to be a too expensive practice

.

polish_aristocrat 11-15-2007 05:19 AM

is 5 years income already the standard for adult websites?

edit: nvm, read your post wrong Colin, just woke up :)

It would be like the war on terrorism. You can't buy out all the scum... there's always more building 100's of sites per day.

I don't think its practical. They or others will make more sites in order to sell to the big fish later.

I know a guy in the Valley, reputation not good, who is trying to sell his company for a great price. 2 problems: 1.) No one trusts him because he is scum; 2.) He has pretty much run a respectable name into the ground during his tenure at the top.

Like most scummy types, he will be lucky to sell bits and pieces of his company at fire sale prices.

JohnV 11-15-2007 09:25 AM

we can't stop the "scum" that easy...the barrier of entry into this biz is soo damn low that this "scum" you speak of just keeps worming its way in each day....

Bro Media - BANNED FOR LIFE 11-15-2007 09:26 AM

We have an endless supply of scum. If we started buying scum out it would only make new scum emerge.:2 cents:

fuckingfuck 11-15-2007 10:10 AM

If there were a few cases of the owners of these scum sites charged, sentenced, bankrupt etc, others wouldn't be so brave to build similar stuff.

You can't prevent all the scum but at least you can put a fear into people's minds who are thinking that they can easily get away with it.

Is it scummy to fill your dating network with fake profiles and then sell that to surfers? Yet how many people here promote fling and the other networks?

The adult programs get away with more scummy shit then any other and only because its the internets..offline the shit wouldnt hold one second.

The tubes and torrents are no more scummy than the hundreds of adult programs lieing and ripping off customers day in day out so STFU.

Wizzo 11-15-2007 10:20 AM

The guys that own them are retarted in what they want for them and that is the biggest hurdle... :pimp

RudeBoy 11-15-2007 11:59 AM
