Phone or e-mail? Which do you prefer?
I recently got a cell phone for the first time. It's already driving me crazy. Seriously. I have no idea how some of you walk around with these tumors in your pocket and actually enjoy it. It is impossible to enjoy your personal time without somebody calling and interrupting that peaceful moment just to say... nothing!
I much prefer e-mail. Short, to the point, I can pick up full messages whenever I am ready, there is no interrupting, and there is no possible way to forget what was said in the conversation because it's all right there! I wish more people would e-mail. I really do. Does this make me efficient... or antisocial? |
email...god i hate the phone...nothing but bad comes from the phone it seems.

i'll die without Microsoft outlook.

Email for Biz 100%
I have a Smartphone and blow thru 6,000 mins a month alot of time between biz and family stuff, its a needed evil these days as everyone uses it as their "reach" number. Pro: Great to have email on the road when needed. Con: Sucks that you are that connected and can be reached when everyone else needs YOU. I recently went to St Thomas for a week and it was great that I had no phone/email/net. All I cared about was enjoying the peace and beauty of the islands, amazingly when I came home the world was still here, lol |
E-mail = Proof.

Email, email, email. Ask anyone who calls me, I rarely answer the phone :) Plus most of the time my cell doesn't work when I'm at home.
This weekend someone called to tell me they were on their way over as a "surprise" visit. It sure was a surprise because I hadn't even gotten around to my once every couple of days or so checking of messages, lol. My main personal email goes to my cell - I use that a lot more than I use the phone for being a phone. |
I like email as I can refer back to it.. the phone someone can say I said this or that and you have no reference to the convo
instant messanger
I rarely use my phone
I don't use my phone for biz.
email, I rarely am on the phone and if I am, I am usually not paying attention to what the person is really saying, so with email I can keep checking it to make sure I get all the information should I forget.
vote for email.. more understandable than phone.
email here!
I prefer the phone, email doesnt always get there, it can be read wrong. The phone is simple and sweet.
e-mail or in person. I don't own a phone and I love it.
i prefer texting

business - email
personal - phone |
e-mail. Cell phones piss me off, yet they are slightly convenient. I just don't like the fact I can be reached by anyone at any time. Gives the sense of having no private time.
well id have to say my phone i cat live wit out it "(
im not hme to much so ya....and i dnt lik waitin to my computer to start up and waitin for it to upload and all the stupid shit a computer does.....so ya sorry id have to say phone for sure ") its everything to me.... |
I'm wondering how you got e-mail before a cell phone. :2 cents:
Email :thumbsup
no cellphone here, strictly email so i can shit in piece... erm peace
Email for me...but it gets hard when you are in sales because people take it as spam sometimes when really i know they prefer that to a phone call.
I hate my phone. I prefer Email.
i prefer email and instant messages such as icq, and skype. you won't forget every little details because it's recorded and you can browse it every now and then if you want.
Good thread. Phones are quicker. (Sometimes) I prefer email. It's more convenient.
Email, but phone if urgent.. I hate being interrupted, so it better be friggin urgent when I'm taking calls
. |
