Anyone understand print sizing?
Print size drives me insane, can anyone help? I need to print out some images for kids to color on 8.5 x 11" standard paper....but hell if I know what size to make them in photoshop so that they end up almost filling the paper.
Obviously it isn't going to fit exactly because each thing is a little different (Christmas tree, bells etc.) but I want them to be a decent size on the paper. I have tested all sorts of things, half of them are too small, or come out different sizes on different printers. So can someone help me out here and just give me a general guideline of the size I should be aiming for in general? |
hehe shall i mention it is a good idea to use a 1/4 bleed :winkwink:
Actually in PS I am pretty sure you can switch over to actual size in the print or image selection. That way it is no longer in pixels and crap. |
What about getting a good coloring book instead? Wal Mart!!

when you goto print do a print preview and select thee fit to site option... make sure the width is 8x11.... etc etc

Thanks for your help, but these will be images kids will be printing themselves from the web, so the most I can hope for is for them to hit "print". So my idea is to sort of size them so when they just hit print it prints out something an appropriate size.
