Happens often along the border, the first of the excavation teams at the WTC were from Quebec if I'm not mistaken, and fire aid from Canada goes south all the time.
As for the lengths to cross all you have to do is drive a couple of miles from a border station and walk across. Not that tough if you really want to do it. :2 cents:

priorities were indeed wrong. CA should have authorized firefighters to stop by home depot and lowes and hire all the mexicans they could find to help right when the fires started.

Seriously though my uncle for the longest time was in charge of taking prisoners out of jail to fight such fires and they would get a little extra time knocked off or sometimes just some extra privileges depending on their terms. If prisoners can be used for fire fighting, ditch digging, fire breaks, food lines and the rest why the fuck not hire illegals?

Another act of discrimination

All Canadians are terrorists. It's quite alright for us to make USD but it's not ok for us to spend in the US, because we might be terrorists or trying to steal their jobs.

With the USD sucking as hard as it does, they should be blowing the border wide open to encourage Canadians to get in and shop... get the currency flowing again.

There is plenty of frenchies around here and I am sure a lot of other non-french canadian will tell you that we are as hard working as anyone else.
