Assassin's Creed released today
 

Anyone else been dying to try this game? There's never been another game like it from what I can see. I'm eager to start running through the cities.

Stuart you def strike me as the loser type who plays way to many video games.

i will give it this ... very interesting plot and story line, AMAZING detail in shadows and scenery. have played it for a few hours and so far I am hooked ;)

I think it will be good, its the same company that made splintercell and the movement/action/commands are all incredible.

I only popped it in for a few minutes. Will play some more once I finish off Call of Duty 4.

Crysis looks pretty amazing as well, but I fear that it may just turn out to be another Far Cry where you have more control over physics (speed, strength, etc)... Far Cry certainly was fun, and for that reason this would be too even if it didn't have any of the new stuff. I guess I'd just have to actually get my hands on it to see if it's the same with a new twist, or a new game entirely with some old familiarities.

Aw thanks, I wish it were true though. Games are a great past time that I just never have time for. I bought my wife Sing Star this week and rented Guitar Hero 3..... it was the first time I've picked up a controller (or in this case, a guitar and microphone) since July. :(

I don't know first hand, obviously, but I've been told that it won't run at 1920 res with all settings at high on even an 8800GTX. You need dual cards.

Well last one I bought was BF2...gonna have to get call of duty, and saw the assassin's creed commercial the other night...looks intense.

I don't play too much but couldn't pass this up. It's being next day aired to me right now I believe. Should be playing it this weekend.

Eager to hear reviews has been a long wait.

I hear that the Interface is full of flaws. Never the less i can't wait for it to be released.

I think 95% of the people that I know in this industry play video games. Many program owners do, I know Lensman does.

I hope for your sake that your marketing knowledge in the adult industry is a wee bit better.

putting a game like that on the Wii would be a disgrace due to the lack of power the Wii has. The game would look like total shit. They would have to cut out a lot of things from the game in order for it to even run on the Wii. Hell, even a PC of a person on welfare is 3 or 4 times more powerful than the wii.. Shit, my old Pentium 3 850mhz was just as or more powerful than the wii.

If I could bang games, this game would be the jenna jameson of my list.

If you play Assassin's Creed for an hour, you will probably think it's a fantastic game. But as Assassin's progresses, its dual storylines and repetitive quests begin to grow tiresome. There are so many great individual elements, but they are lost among the myriad of poor decisions from Ubisoft Montreal. Wasting the big twist on the first five minutes of gameplay is a tremendous mistake, but not nearly as damaging as the ill-conceived assassination investigation quests, which get old fast. The exploration aspects of Assassin's Creed and the combat are both plusses in my book. But those two elements are only a small part of the whole. And most everything else in Assassin's Creed is mediocre.

Yea but video games systems are for games. I havent turned on my piece of shit ps3 in months. Meroid and mario galaxy on the wii is far better than anything the 360 or the ps3 have .

didn't say that the wii sucked. Just saying that there would be no way in hell for the wii to run this game. Metroid is cool, but the whole mario thing is old. I grew up with Nintendo.. I still like nintendo, but at this point I prefer Xbox 360.. More games and much better online service than what the wii or the ps3 has, but if I had to pick 2 systems out of the 3 I would chose the Wii and Xbox 360. The PS3 is a piece of shit.

Guess you haven't been paying much attention. BioShock, Orange Box and Halo 3 have all scored the highest reviews any games have gotten on any system in a LONG while.

I got it yesterday too..its a bit too slow for me..I think I like hack-and-slash, at my age..

Then definitely check out Conan.
