The video you posted is of neither of these 2.

The Kimbo fight looked totally staged.

About as real as pro wrestling. I'm not saying all fights are, but that one was pretty bogus when you look closely at the video from the various angles.

Easy money for the promoters, Kimbo and the guy who took the dive, but a rip-off for fans and those that believe in the integrity of the sport.

Oh come on, not everything is a conspiracy. Kimbo's opponent just got scared shitless after Kimbo clocked him with those big fists. Hope he gets a more game opponent next time and has a chance to show his improved mma skills.

watch the fight again in slow motion.. KIMBO does not hit him once from what I saw... the cat fell down and tapped out... even when kimbo jumped on him he never landed a single punch.. great "show" but bad fight.... 100% staged.... someone prove me wrong ill give them my company... I know a staged fight and anybody that knows fights knows it was a staged fight

While I'll acknowledge that watching the fight in real-time it seemed that the forearm to the head which Kimbo threw seemed glancing and not enough to knock a 150 lb. guy to the ground, Cantrell had a hell of a welt/lump developing just minutes after getting hit. Also, the right to his Cantrell's upper body nearly lifted him off the ground. The reply which they showed from the front showed Cantrell looking up, over his shoulder, from his belly with an "o' shit" look in his eyes.

The fight seemed odd, but I think Cantrell was simply scared into tapping out. Time will tell as clearly this won't be Kimbo's last fight.

it did look staged... but I would think by know there was enough money in the industry to keep that from happening... fighters should want to win cuz they will make more money from sponsors etc..

It looked staged, but remember that Mike Tyson's first opponents also used to fall and just stay down in fear of continuing the match.

Have you seen the guy's record? He has a history of dropping like a swatted fly extremely fast. His last 5 fights, all losses:

Kimbo - 19 seconds in first round
Brad Imes - 55 seconds in first round (submission)
Dave Huckaba - 5 seconds in first round
Dave Huckaba - 26 seconds in first round
Tim Persey - 1:33 in first round

excatly why he was picked to fight kimbo... like they did with tyson years ago give him shit people to fight makes him look like a baddass but the min someone with talent comes in...

Looked fixed to me. Someone who has been in that many fights doesn't tap out after feeling a couple punches, no matter how hard they hit him. Unless those punches physically knocked him out there was no reason that fight should of ended so early.

You guys crack me up with all the "fix" theories. Why can't it be as simple as a fighter with a lackluster record and a losing streak who gets stopped within the first couple of minutes routinely just felt overpowered by a hungry Kimbo , got rocked by a punch or two and embarrassed himself by tapping out almost immediately?

i doubt it was fixed. cantrell just got rocked hard by a couple glancing blows, hich left him shitting bricks when he immediately clued into what was going to happen to him if he continued fighting. let me point out again, sometimes glancing blows do more damage than a direct hit...
