If you were to program your own affil program what would you want in it
 

Hey guys,

I'm in the process of writing an affiliate program and im just wondering the kind of features/bells &whistles to add to it.

My goal with this is to write it for my sites and sell it for a reasonable price, unlike a lot of the stuff which is out there.


Any input would be welcomed.

It should be able to track all clicks and show the referring URL. Not just the referring URL for the sales.

I dont believe in shaving sales/hits. I think if people see the hits they expect then you start to build that trust relationship with your webmasters.


And as for the referring urls (Thank for that brown bear) it is already in there but it only tracks raws not uniques as i think the over head for that along with the clicks might be a bit too much if it is used on a large scale.. i m ight put uniques in with a way to disable it.

I was also thinking of join page impressions as well, so that out of the total (raw) hits you seen you'll see how many people landed on the join page
