Want more search engine traffic?

Before you hire an seo(search engine optimization) firm or seo pro, make sure they prove to you they have good search engine rankings for their own site or clients site. If they show you rankings for widgets.com make sure the email comes from [email protected] or they have their company name on the bottom of the site, like seo by ___ company. When I do seo for a client i always prove to them my own site's rankings in google. If you have a new site, under 1 year in google any ethical seo will tell you it will take a much longer time to get ranked due to age filters in google. Also a 5 word search term like "adult dating in miami florida" or the name of their site does not count ,that shit is easy to rank for. I always show 1,2, or 3 word search terms that I am ranked under to a prospective client. Hit me up on icq 421469356. I am available for seo work adult or mainstream

Here is a tip from Matt Cutts ( Google Engineer) latest talk. ?Cutts also revealed some important details about the way Google handles various things. For instance, does the file extension in your URL matter? Matt?s answer: no ? unless it is .exe. Otherwise, it will not affect your ranking in the slightest.
How about slashes in your URL? In other words, does it matter how many directories deep your page is? Surprisingly, Matt said no to this as well. So you no longer need to be concerned about this affecting your Google rankings. Matt did hint, however, that this might matter for Yahoo and Microsoft?s Live Search, so proceed with caution here, especially if you?re getting significant traffic from these search engines.?

Here is another tip i found from Matt Cuts

"If I got a site banned what is the procedure to get it re indexed?
This is boilerplate that we're sending out to some site owners as a pilot program if we detect spam, but it's the most current info:
"If you wish to be reincluded, please correct or remove all pages that are outside our quality guidelines. When you are ready, please submit a reinclusion request at http://www.google.com/support/bin/request.py

You can select "I'm a webmaster inquiring about my website" and then "Why my site disappeared from the search results or dropped in ranking," click Continue, and then make sure to type "Reinclusion Request" in the Subject: line of the resulting form."

Paid links can get you penalized in google says Matt Cutts (Googe Engneer)

"The partial update to visible PageRank that went out a few days ago was primarily regarding PageRank selling and the forward links of sites. So paid links that pass PageRank would affect our opinion of a site.

Going forward, I expect that Google will be looking at additional sites that appear to be buying or selling PageRank."

Some people suggest that Matt Cutts' job is to spread a little disinformation with his information. ;)
