I Hate Game Days
Seriously, why is that every time there is a game they have to close 75% of the streets in this town just so that people can setup tents to sell overpriced crap from and have tailgate parties in the street. Why not do that on those nice lush lawns and big, wide parking lots that the campus has and leave the streets open for traffic. There is a reason they don't call it Main Campground and instead call it Main Street.
Then there is this lovely practice of pedestrians J-walking on the few streets that are still open and/or ignoring the walk signals so that none of the cars can move. I swear, one of these days I am just going to get fed up and keep right on going line of people or not. They should change the law so that if a pedestrian goes out in the middle of the street when the signal says don't walk, they don't have the right of way and any resulting accidents are their own fault.
Game days are annoying as hell. People take up all the parking spaces everywhere, throw trash around, make noise and generally display their finely honed assholism. They should add $10 to the price of every ticket ($20 for out of state people), the proceeds from said tax get re-distributed as a property tax credit to everyone within a 3 mile radius of the damn stadium as partial compensation for all of the bullshit they have to endure.
