are pictures from myspace private or public property?
does the page owner have 100% privacy over their public content? or since its on myspace platform then anyone can link or download it?
|
MySpace.com does not claim any ownership rights in the text, files, images, photos, video, sounds, musical works, works of authorship, or any other materials (collectively, "Content") that you post to the MySpace Services. After posting your Content to the MySpace Services, you continue to retain all ownership rights in such Content, and you continue to have the right to use your Content in any way you choose. By displaying or publishing ("posting") any Content on or through the MySpace Services, you hereby grant to MySpace.com a limited license to use, modify, publicly perform, publicly display, reproduce, and distribute such Content solely on and through the MySpace Services.

Obviously they don't have any "privacy", it's posted on the internet, so anyone can view it... and they still own copyright to any pics they post, so except in some "fair use" cases, you can't really use the pics they post for anything...
(but consult a lawyer to be sure) |
nice question

interesting thread :)
|
You own copyright but what are you going to do if someone takes them?
|
exactly, i did a few copy and paste and they want me to take the pics down ...i said sure...no prob...
i actually will take the pics down...ethically it was wrong for me to take them but IF I WANTED TO , i cud leave them up and they cant do shieet |
They can't do shit huh?
OK....Keep telling yourself that. Most won't do shit but saying they can't do shit is beyond ignorant. Copyright is copyright. |
if you post the wrong little rich girl's half naked photos and refuse to remove them, we'll see who's laughing when someone's millionaire lawyer daddy rams his fist of legal authority up your ass. theoretically speaking that is...

(a) What AaronM and ismokeblunts said.
(b) Public property? If you mean public domain, things can go into the public domain after their creators, and sometimes heirs, are long dead. People with current profiles on MySpace are generally not long dead. |
And how would you get 2257, anyway?
