Whale sushi. Better than expected!
 

So I had whale sushi for the first time in my life yesterday at a restaurant in Oslo Norway called Alex Sushi. It didnt look too tempting when served but tasted a lot better than expected!

So :thumbsup for whale sushi - recommended.

Orcas, blue? what kind? I'll try not to bag on you cuz I'm in the pacific northwest and I don't like seafood. We got lots of orcas but you can't just eat them. I think they allow the indians to kill one per year though.... tradition reasons... however I don't recall tradition being machine guns and speed boats but whatever. Laws are laws. I'm gonna go hug one of my apple trees or somethiin.... miss you oystein!

Whale sushi is fucking awesome.
Whale is fucking awesome. It's the weight / colour of a really prime steak, with a grain finer than a good salmon.

It's pure deliciousnesssssssss.

To be honest I am not sure which kind we had, but I think it was Sperm Whale which is the kind Norway hunts "legally" the most. We do not hunt Killer Whales (Orcas). :2 cents:

I have to admit that I am ambivalent to the whole whale catching debacle.
