Unsubscribe. Too new of a technology?

There are affiliate companies that do not offer the ability to unsubscribe from their affiliate mailing list.

Is having the ability to unsubscribe too complicated for an affiliate company to implement? Do they not have the resources to hire woj to add such a mind blowing feature?

Some companies that have this dilemma include PornoPushers, Hundies, PlatinumBucks, and Harlot Cash.

Isn't it part of the SPAM laws that you must have a remove link, even if the person receiving it is a client? If I remember correctly it is actually in violation not to have it. Although I could be wrong...

A link isn't specifically required, but a method of removal from the list is.

An excerpt from the FCC's CAN-SPAM information page:

"Offering a Way to Reject Future Messages ? Commercial e-mail senders must provide easily-accessible, legitimate ways for recipients to reject future messages from that sender."

some of the ones you mentioned you actually have to log into the affiliate admin and uncheck the box that says you want to receive mailings

I no longer use those affiliate companies and am unfamiliar with the login details.

I have sent removal request e-mails to the addresses they mailed me from, as well as addresses they may have provided in the newsletter.

Still I receive their newsletters . . .
