Introducing the "Camel Spider"
http://www.camelspiders.net/
here is what happen: I went to take out the trash, and from behind the trash bins one of these fuckers started running right towards me as fast as hell and when it reached my left shoe it stopped and went back a little. I shit you not this one was somehow bigger than my foot, swear to god I don't know how it got that big I can't prove it because I didn't think about filming it or anything like that, but I DID google for it to know what the fuck was that huge thing that can run so fast and made nearly soil my pants and this is what I've found. |
those are not spiders but wind scorpions and grow no larger in the middle east than six inches.
if u believe they grow over a foot i have a bridge in arizona to sell u |
|
Couldn't just fucking die already?
There's just not enough timelines in the multitude of dimensions to fucking cover this.... |
i have a breeding group of 6 egyptian solifugae, and another 4 fuzzy solifugae. the egyptians are the largest solifigid species i know of, and only reach 6-7" in total body length max. there's not a whole lot known in the scientific community about these species yet, but they're making a break into north american hobbyist collections and more data is being collected now. crazy looking little fuckers. hoping to hatch out my first couple broods in a year or so. if you want to catch a handful of those iranian solifugae and ship them to canada, i'd be interested in buying some off you..

that scarys me.
i hate spiders and insects =( |

i have some camel spiders on the bbq right now. :)
|
Camel spiders get there name because they eat the stomachs of camels.
|
Those look like they pack one hell of a bite.

i have seen mantis, hamsters (lol), cats eating mice, spiders drink, snakes eat mice, crickets, little ants overwhelm big insects by stinging, centipedes grapple, wrap and bite... i have seen lots of things! but nothing, i mean nothing compares to the crude, quick and devastating horror of a wind scorpion eating. :2 cents: *edit* thats a big bug. is it edible? |
Damn those are huge!
