Every damn day in the paper or on the tv they are moaning about something, or suing someone because they feel their religious rights are being breached.

Now a woman who runs a hair salon is going out of business because she is being sued by a muslim woman she wouldn't employ because she wouldn't take off her headscarf, which didn't match the salon dress code. She is suing the salon for religious discrimination.

It's the muslim womans problem if her stupid fucked up religion means you have to look like a fucking idiot 24/7.

Why should people who have lived and worked hard here all their lives have to change anything in their own business for these fucks ???

Actually the right to freedom of religion is the persons right to practice their religion as they see fit not to force others or their employers to practice the religion as the employee sees fit.
I say fuck her and the business owner should get money for his or her trouble.

If it was the latter then it's discrimination. If she wasnt qualified and then the muslim woman went to sue based on some false statements that she wasnt hired because of her outfit thats not right.

It isn't her problem that because of some persons religion, she isn't able to do the job. Work places have rules. If you don't follow them, you get a job somewhere else.

In most jobs she would have a case. In this case, im assuming the salon is a private owned company...if so, they can make their own dress code and they dont have to adjust to religion. So for the guy who said she has a case, no she doesnt. Imagine if you turned your house into a porn studio and hired the woman to do some odd jobs around the place...you can tell her whatever you want her to wear, its your private business with your policies and guidlines.

If you cannot force your employee to follow a specific religion, you also don't have fucking right to force him not to follow his religion.

its a lose lose situation for the salon owner. if she lost the lawsuit case, her salon might got closed and he/she will pay the muslim moral damages.

Let's have a brief overview of this whole thing. Muslim lady moves to country, and is smart enough to use your own laws. You think there should be "no exceptions".... but want to make an exception to this law, so that you can be happy about it.

Aroo? Don't be so short sighted to think that the only reason she was turned down for the job was "dress code". That's what their LAWYERS are arguing, to make a CASE. It doesn't mean that's what actually HAPPENED. It's their STORY.

I recently saw a case where a French man from Montreal with a name like "Akbar Habib" or whatever applied for a job no less than 10 times. He had a university degree, was born in Montreal, and something like 15 years of experience doing something related. He never got a call back, and couldn't figure it out. He decided to change his name on his resume to "Marc Tremblant" or something very typically white-french, and they called him the next day, asking him to come for an interview, and that his resume looked "perfect for the job".

He sued them immediately.

Maybe there's a little of that in this case? It's not always so black and white, whitey.

as a human i advice you to not create your own nightmares, i m a Muslim too, but if somebody discriminated me i will just go to Court, not to extremists or terrorists, because i don't know any of them, if i was even knowing one of them, i wouldn't go again, because im just a peaceful ordenery guy not a terrorists

if thats a case because of her looking it could be the rule of job place, but what if they discriminate her because of her religion?

Umm, it's that presons own business she is running. So she can decide what the fuck happens in her OWN shop. She isn't forcing anyone to do shit. She is saying her shop has a dress code etc, which MUST be followed by EVERYONE.
